Copyright Ownership

Authors retain the copyright of their work published in the Nigerian Actuarial Journal. Upon submission, authors grant the journal a license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher.

Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to complete a 'Journal Publishing Agreement' form. An e-mail will be sent to the corresponding author confirming receipt of the manuscript together with this agreement form.

Subscribers may reproduce tables of contents or prepare lists of articles including abstracts for internal circulation within their institutions. Permission of the Publisher is required for resale or distribution outside the institution and for all other derivative works, including compilations and translations.

If excerpts from other copyrighted works are included in the submission, the author(s) must obtain written permission from the copyright owners and credit the source(s) in the article.

Open Access Policy

The Nigerian Actuarial Journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

All articles published in the Nigerian Actuarial Journal are freely accessible online immediately upon publication, without subscription charges or registration barriers.

Creative Commons License

All articles published in the Nigerian Actuarial Journal are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows others to:

Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format

Author's Rights

Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work.

Preprints

Authors may post preprints (the version of the article before peer review) on personal websites, institutional repositories, preprint servers, or any other website at any time.

Accepted Manuscripts

Authors may post the accepted version of their manuscript (after peer review but before final editing and formatting) on their personal website, institutional repository, or other non-commercial websites immediately after acceptance.

Published Articles

Authors may post the final published version (publisher's PDF) of their article on their personal website, institutional repository, or other non-commercial websites immediately after publication, as long as proper attribution is provided to the original publication in the Nigerian Actuarial Journal.

Third-Party Permissions

If you wish to reuse content from an article published in the Nigerian Actuarial Journal for commercial purposes or in ways that exceed what is permitted by the CC BY 4.0 license, please contact the Editor-in-Chief or the management sciences Society of Nigeria for permission.

Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing

The Nigerian Actuarial Journal will promptly investigate such claims and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable copyright law and the journal's ethical guidelines.
